Local clubs
A good way to keep a child out of trouble is an after school activity. For just this reason most areas have local clubs for boys and girls. These local clubs can offer a variety of different activities They may be:
- Sports
- chess
- Boy scouts
- science
These are just of few examples of some of the local clubs your area may offer.
Not only do these clubs keep kids out of trouble, they can also teach them Responsibility team work and good sportsmanship as well as offering a child a good way to meet other kids
But not all clubs are good. Some clubs can be bad for children, any club that will exclude certain people because of:
- skin color
- there religion
- popularity
These are examples of local clubs you may not want your kids to join. They will teach your kid that prejudices are ok, and if your child does not get in it can lower there self esteem.
Before you allow your child to join a local club you should speak to someone at there school, and find out if the club is sponsored by the school or if any one has bad things to say about it. Then make up your own mind.
Sometimes the difference between a good child and a problem child can be the local club or after school activity they choose.
